How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:
The Variable Annuity Marketing Consultant's mission is to oversee the end-to-end development and management of impactful product content and campaign strategies & tactics for the Brighthouse Financial variable annuity product suite. In this role, the Consultant is expected to create and manage effective communications using an understanding of variable annuities, living benefit riders, competition, distribution channels, retirement planning challenges, and end user audience. They will also align strategy with business objectives and drive/track results while integrating feedback and insights. This role is a key point of contact within marketing and will proactively engage and partner closely with Product, Research, Legal, Compliance, and Distribution teams, along with external stakeholders. They have responsibility to develop marketing content (print and digital), promotions, and resources and accountability for results. This role is charged with designing content to address challenges and opportunities revealed by advisor and customer research and input from our Product and Distribution partners in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and own end-to-end process of developing variable annuity marketing content including creative briefs, campaigns, visual concepts, and planning documents that guide messaging for new material development and multi-media promotion
• Identify compelling product strategies, messaging, and themes using research and data-driven insights
• Work collaboratively with copywriters, designers, target marketing, and creative services (both internal and external) to execute on content deliverables within project timeframes
• Engage and partner with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Distribution teams along with external stakeholders in the creation of product content
• Identify metrics to measure and validate results and effectiveness of strategies to scale successful efforts and/or improve content, delivery, and messaging
• Performs other related duties as assigned or required

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
7 years total work experience required with minimum 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry (within Marketing, Product Management, Distribution)
• A curious and creative mind, excited by the challenges brought on by the new retirement landscape
• Strong collaborator, with an ability to work effectively with senior managers, peers, and other stakeholders in Product, Legal, Distribution, and Creative Services
• Adept product marketer with ability to derive actionable insights through analysis and apply those insights to content that drives marketing results and connects strategy to creative
• Must currently hold FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7 or the ability to obtain
• Undergraduate degree required (preferably in Economics, Finance, or Marketing)
