Job Summary

Barings is seeking an Analyst to join the Institutional Solutions team. This position will be located in our Charlotte office, and will report to the Head of Institutional Solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help in the portfolio construction and optimization process for solutions portfolios.
  • Assist in the building of models for asset price forecasts and portfolio performance.
  • Develop expertise as a model user.
  • Liaise with other groups within Barings including quantitative support and risk management.
  • Communicate with sector investment teams to help coordinate asset allocation information.


  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Familiar with fixed income concepts and sectors
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, econ or stats or equivalent work experience
  • Strong aptitude for mathematics and statistics as applied to investments and portfolio management in both a total return and liability driven framework
  • Experience with pension or insurance industries from the actuarial or asset management side including portfolio construction
  • Excellent computer skills including some programming
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
