HR Business Partner

Role Profile

This is a temporary position, with a time period expectation of around 12-20 months

Supports the development and delivery of the People Strategy and solutions for leaders within a Division as defined by the Head of HR and partners with the Division to influence the strategic agenda and deliver strong results.

Partners with HR colleagues in Centres of Expertise, HR Operations and Countries to drive excellence in all services including strategic, transactional and business improvement activities and initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, Americas with a matrix reporting line to the Senior HR Business Partner, EMEA, the HR Business Partner ensures the delivery of sound and professional HR guidance and seamless HR support.

  • Engages with peers in other comparable organisations to gain insight and to identify and implement relevant good practice.
  • Operates as the key HR contact for leaders and executives in the client group
  • Works closely with the Senior HR Business Partners to influence and inform key business decisions
  • Collaborates and promotes teamwork with other HRBPs and shares knowledge and expertise in a Community of Practice
  • Collaborates and promotes teamwork with the CoE and HR Operations teams which includes sharing the Divisional goals and requirements in relation to the design, development and delivery of Group process and policies and provides input
  • Works closely with team members from other functions such as Finance to help deliver Divisional objectives and realised opportunities
Key Responsibilities
  • Provides insightful, strategic and relevant business partnering activities to the client group as agreed with the Head of HR and Senior HR Business Partners.
  • Collaborates with the Senior HR Business Partners to develop and deliver the People Strategy aligned with Divisional objectives taking into account the economic, legislative and regulatory environments
  • Provide coaching to managers to manage and resolve employee relations matters at and early stage.
  • Works with the Senior HR Business Partners to drive people discussions and implement actions with the client group such as workforce design and planning, business development and improvement, talent succession and performance management and coaching
  • Drives delivery and provides input to activities such as Resourcing, Onboarding, Learning & Development, Performance Management, Annual Pay Review, Talent & Succession Planning, Engagement and Retention for Division working in partnership with the relevant Centre of Expertise or HR Operations as appropriate
  • Designs and delivers change projects and people initiatives that support the Divisional strategic objectives in partnership with the relevant Centre of Expertise and Senior HR Business Partners
  • Builds and leverages external and internal networks to facilitate well formed business decisions and good practice
  • Uses people data and analytics to provide business intelligence for business decisions
  • Leads and manages projects within area of responsibility
Candidate Profile / Key Skills
  • Strong ER experienced, with demonstrated experience of coaching managers to resolve matters at an early stage.
  • Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with, influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience of working in a global, matrix organisation would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, to shape the role and adapt to a complex environment
  • Commercial acumen; understands the business and takes actions that contribute to enhanced financial results
  • Maximises opportunities; i.e. challenges ways of working, adopts Group practices, seeks and provides information and clarification.
  • Effective oral and written communication that resonates with the target audience.
  • Utilises all available resources and toolsets to investigate and resolve problems and ensures the most appropriate solution is identified.
  • Excellent planning and prioritising according to business needs.
