Data Governance Senior Analyst

Reporting into the Data Governance Office (DGO) within the Group Chief Data Office (CDO) of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and based in Fort Mill, SC, this Senior Analyst role will be skilled at working with people, processes and technology efficiently so that LSEG can implement and institutionalize data governance across the Group in a reasonable, and timely manner.

Within the Group, the DGO develops and implements a framework of policies, standards and operational procedures that help the organization continuously improve its data management capabilities, so that LSEG governs its data.

The activation of Data Governance is a continuous, best-in-class program and set of processes that ensure efficient operations and excellent data, information and product. The need for Data Governance is driven by management and pending integration requirements, critical protection of the LSEG brand, increasing levels of regulatory oversight and risk, continuous product innovation, and a dynamic and volatile market environment with many emerging pressures and disruptions.

The candidate is experienced in supporting programs and leveraging the latest version of Collibra for "active" Data Governance. Skills include management techniques, all aspects of Collibra including the set-up, design, implementation, and operations.

The primary goal of this permanent role is to build out Collibra as a Data Governance suite with a set of capabilities so that the company is set up to manage its internal data assets. Some of the key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide support and guidance to the management team for the Collibra Program.
  • Support prioritized portfolio of enterprise data-related projects related to Collibra
  • Be able to explain how to use the Collibra interface to users in both Data Governance areas and regular business areas. Knowledgeable about the Collibra metadata and operating model (s).
  • Create various internal presentations which provide context, content and updates on the overall program status, progress, challenges, successes, risk and issues.
  • Work closely with Sponsors to stay aligned on priorities, projects, updates and overall status.
  • Develop and manage project deliverables that are required internally status, issues and risk logs and other related materials.
  • Support the development of other deliverables (as needed) as part of the internal change and approval methodology such as artifacts necessary for Architecture, Legal and other forums.
  • Liaise with other Data Governance leads to develop requirements for integration of other tools including SAP, ServiceNow and other systems, as prioritized.
  • Develop and manage internal working groups to support the Collibra implementation.
  • Support industry best practices and incorporate relevant ideas.

    Key Behaviors and Skills Required to be successful in the Role

    Working Experience

  • Experience with supporting Collibra projects in a financial services industry
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Data Management experience in a mid to major level financial service organization
  • Experience with Data Governance capabilities like issue management resolution, metrics, data glossary, lineage, metadata management, policies, procedures and controls.
  • Understanding of Data Governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Understanding of the related functions such as: risk management, data architecture and technology solutions.


  • Bachelors Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Management or Information Sciences.
  • Advanced degree in Information Management, Information Science is a plus.
  • Relevant Data Quality, Management, IT, Science or Governance training and Collibra certifications such as Collibra Certified Ranger, Developer, and Platform Admin (preferred).
