We are seeking a dynamic individual with knowledge of various financial instruments and who has experience with similar roles in the alternative investment industry, to fulfill a treasury role for a multi-portfolio manager trading platform MSIM seeks to launch.

Job Description:

  • Monitor and maintain relationships with all counterparties
  • Monitor daily cash balances, financing terms and margin requirements for each prime broker
  • Liaise with prime brokers to obtain market color and locate borrows
  • Identify the optimal placement of positions across prime brokers
  • Optimize interest rate spreads among prime brokers
  • Monitor & report on ongoing compliance requirements in connection with financing arrangements
  • Daily communication with front office, back office, and third party vendors
  • Develop tools and reports for counterparty evaluation
  • Keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments in financing markets and provide insights on their implications for securities financing activities
  • Interact with various third party vendors and PBs on margin related matters
  • Develop best practices, policies and procedures for the counterparty monitoring and financing process


  • 7-12 years of relevant buy or sell side experience
  • Strong understanding of equity and futures markets
  • Experience managing financing lines including prime brokerage and swaps
  • Prior treasury experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship management skill
  • Ability to work both independently and be a strong team contributor with proactive drive to deliver results
  • Outstanding attention to detail and committed to process and related improvements
  • Flexible, quick learner with the ability to multi-task
  • Able to lead projects to completion and create process efficiencies
