Senior Manager - Quality Process Assurance
Job Description

Assess and enhance the existing operations strategy so adherence to guidelines and processes are enriched. Lead a team who will champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to establish an effective Quality Management System. Manage and provide compliance and risk oversight within specific areas of responsibilities to ensure that compliance and risk policies and procedures are fully implemented. Serve as a key liaison to the Compliance area and Operational Risk areas.

Responsibilities

-Partner across the business to build, execute and maintain a Quality Management (policy, procedure, process, controls) and Control Testing function to support BCS to ensure process and work-flows improvements are sustainable through coaching, training, and partnerships with technology, S&O (including AMPI) and other service providers. Ensure on-going improvement to operations using best in class (functional techniques) such as total cycle time, LEAN, and Six Sigma practices. Own systems access validations, liaison with technology on issue identification and resolution.

-Partner with risk and compliance to build and ensure execution of risk and compliance control testing. Lead a team to provide compliance and regulatory and risk support (collect info to respond to exams, inquiries arising from audits, risk incidents, committee mtg decks etc). Work with Risk Management/ Compliance/ BCP in the creation or revision of supervisory policies and procedure. Provide issue resolution on operational matters related to compliance and regulatory requirements. Implement ops/ business policies and/or procedures within the dept. or business unit(s).

-Key liaison between Operations and other parts of the business, including Risk, Compliance, Technology and business lines. Develop and execute strategic direction and decision making for implementing new operations, vendor management processes, risk and compliance process changes, ensuring it aligns with the overall operations, quality expectations and business strategy which adheres to Risk/ Compliance/ BCP/ Regulator guidelines. Serve as an operational subject matter expert and serves in the first line of defense.

-Provide project management and subject matter expertise to include developing techniques and processes for planning, executing, and measuring results of improvement activities. Ensure company's on-going monitoring and management review processes and procedures are consistent with planned objectives.

-Provide effective leadership to direct reports incorporating performance management practices through individual performance plans, periodic reviews and feedback sessions, coaching and development, as well as oversee and advise direct reports on the performance management process for associate level employees within their group.

Required Qualifications

-Bachelors degree or equivalent
-7+ years of related experience
- Strong risk and compliance background
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
-Demonstrated ability to build and manage an engaged team.
-Good project management skills with solid operations, compliance and risk acumen.
-Expertise in coaching around process improvements, previous experience in a Lean management environment a plus.
-Ability to lead a team against tight deadlines and ability to prioritize competing priorities.
-Expertise in change management principles and driving change across a business area.

Preferred Qualifications

-Masters degree or equivalent
-Ability to work well in a complex matrix environment.
-Experience working in large organizations a plus.
