Senior Executive Compensation Analyst
Ameriprise Financial has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Executive Compensation Analyst role! This position would be responsible for partnering with the Senior Director of LTIA/Deferred Compensation and the Director of Executive Compensation to provide support on the development, analysis, and administration of executive compensation strategies and programs. This will include providing support for Ameriprise Board of Directors meetings, assisting with development of annual Proxy statement, supporting long-term incentive award (LTIA), and deferred comp programs in order to provide flexible yet consistent application of guiding principles across the corporate functions and business segments on a global basis.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation of materials for Compensation and Benefits Committee of the Board of Directors meetings. Perform research and analysis to help inform materials.
  • Assist with multiple programs related to executive compensation, including Stock Ownership Guidelines and Detrimental Conduct provisions. Contribute to the implementation, communication, and administration of these compensation programs.
  • Support the execution of annual mid-year and year-end executive compensation review processes. Ensure compensation programs are coordinated in accordance with approved plan designs.
  • Prepare executive compensation data and compensation tables for the annual Proxy Statement and partner with leadership on developing the Compensation Discussion and Analysis (CD&A).
  • Perform scheduled and ad hoc auditing of system and procedures for LTIA and Deferred Compensation; conduct SOX testing and/or assertions, as required.
  • Assist with the Vendor Risk Assessment process.
  • Prepare regular executive compensation reporting and analysis as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • 3+ Years of demonstrable experience
  • Strong compensation data analysis and data interpretation skills.
  • Proven attention to detail with highly sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data to identify trends or patterns.
  • Ability to identify issues and develop potential solutions, using data to support recommendations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required to discuss issues and articulate program/policy interpretation to HR staff and business leaders.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships through delivery of credible work product.
  • Developing consulting skills and techniques.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, HRMS systems, market database software, and query reporting tools.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skill with presentation of information to large groups.
