Compensation Operations Program Manager
Ameriprise Financial has an exciting opportunity for a Compensation Operations Program Manager! This role will provide operational support and analysis to ongoing medium-sized Compensation programs crafted to drive results specified in the business strategy. This involves building and sustaining relationships with both internal and external business partners to effectively administer the program, resolve issues, and support ongoing program development. You will be accountable for identified program specific results and for implementing and sustaining programs as appropriate.

Compensation programs include but are not limited to: Annual Job Description review, Annual Merit/Bonus Review Cycle, Annual Adjustment Review Cycle, and Annual Survey Participation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program execution design delivery to meet quality, schedule, milestone and budget commitments. Manage program expectations, scope, risk and changes. Establish and maintain a work plan at the required level of detail which indicates the key dependencies, resources, the time-frame for completion of the program and the key deliverables.
  • Ensure effective program implementation and is accountable for sustaining the assigned programs as needed. Provide continual tracking and analysis of performance against plan to ensure program success.
  • Hold high-level sessions for planning and schedule development. Ensure the goals, metrics and objectives are understood and agreed upon with the program sponsorship.
  • Collaborate with various teams to coordinate and integrate plans to ensure effective program execution. Assess business needs and propose enhancements to appropriate senior leaders to gain support.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ Years of proven experience
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills, including networking, conflict resolution, negotiating, and influencing.
  • Ability to lead, build, influence and maintain strong relationships with key business partners to drive initiatives.
  • Proven project management skills leading small to medium sized projects/processes
  • Ability to assimilate information and connect the dots on varying firm-wide initiatives that affect teaming.
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • Exercise high initiative working independently while also working in a team environment.
  • Desire to learn new skills and shift priorities/responsibilities to meet the needs of the business.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize numerous projects simultaneously with attention to detail, urgency, focus and discipline.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Compensation department
