Job Description

This position is responsible for performing analysis and reporting, while contributing to recommendations for the business unit. Makes process improvements and adjustments to existing reporting models. Assists in small to medium projects, which may involve developing solution for problems within the business unit. Helps to resolve problems or issues through methods of trouble shooting, as well as separate analysis. With guidance from leader, recommends changes to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine reporting and analysis contributing to recommendations for the business unit based on their needs for minor process improvement, along with assisting in small to medium projects within business unit.
  • Perform routine reporting and analysis within existing reporting models, but also make minor adjustments to reporting models. Make recommendations based on this reporting and analysis that best meet client or business objectives.
  • Develop solutions for routine and less complex problems for the business unit. Trouble shoot, resolve problems or issues, while contributing to define solutions.
  • Makes recommendations that best meet clients business objectives.
  • Ability to create, improve, maintain, coordinate and execute tasks for Mutual Funds Operations and Licensing Compensation related to acquisitions and conversions.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills. Quantitative skills with the ability to use statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on recommendations and analysis results, and establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization.
  • Applies computer analysis techniques.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of business operations and processes in one or more areas: Mutual Funds Operations, Alternative Investments, Brokered Products, Field Administration (Licensing, Compensation, Client Transitions)
  • Basic understanding of the different advisor channels (AAC, AAG, AFG, AFIG)
  • Basic understanding of the AFIG channel, including the different programs (Dual, Managed, Independent Contractor, Institutional) and the role of the Financial Institution (FI)
