AWM Risk Manager
Job Description

This position will drive the enhancement and maintenance of AWM 2nd Line of Defense Risk Management initiatives. This involves working with the Enterprise Risk, other 2nd Line of Defense teams and the AWM business to perform risk event oversight and challenge, assessments, and quality assurance of change management risks, and evaluates the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and controls. Responsible for creation, implementation, and maintenance of the AWM Risk programs to meet Enterprise Standards to safeguard the firm from Operational Risks. Contributes to the team's overall work to establish a sound end-to-end control environment across AWM pro-actively identifying and working to limit risk and exposure.


• Deliver proactive support and guidance to the business area on emerging risks and related industry developments, trends and opportunities that may impact business processes and strategies.
• Manage the monthly reporting for risk forums and communities for risk events and change management programs while making enhancements when needed.
• Develop and maintain all report generation, dashboard views and queries for Risk Events (REVs) and Change Management risk initiatives
• Provide oversight and partner with the business on risk issues and risk programs to aid in the mitigation to the firm
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate current process and systems/tools, and develop enhancements through new data capture and flow improvements that lead to improvement in the efficiency and quality of financial reporting and business understanding.
• Responsible for loading and reconciling risk information/data into specific systems (i.e., MetricStream), used to provide reports and statistics to provide analysis for the Sr Risk Management leaders.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the data in the system.
Coordinate and distribute internal/external reporting across multiple areas of the company, as well as Working with AWM business owners to enable strong risk mitigation capabilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience in one of the following areas: risk, compliance, audit, project management or related function.
• Solid knowledge and proper application of risks, processes and controls
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong ability to lead, partner, and influence across all leadership levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to drive results and meet deadlines to reduce risks.
• Demonstrated history of working independently and within strong team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk programs
• Strong internal and external relationship management skills
• Excellent analytical capabilities and interpersonal skills
• SIE and Series 99
• Experience with GRC tools (MetricStream)
