Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.

Firmwide Operations includes Fraud Operations, Shared Services and Banking Operations (SSBO), Operations Risk and Control, Global Project Group and Metrics, Branch Operations, and Divisional Management. Fraud Operations is a global organization responsible for assessing, mitigating, and preventing fraudulent activities across multiple product lines and services in order to protect the firm and its clients.

In an effort to protect our clients' assets, provide a safe and secure banking environment, and to minimize financial losses to the Firm from systematic security risk, the Fraud Operations Team is tasked with monitoring and analyzing client activities in order to detect and curtail fraud. The Fraud Operations Team's primary responsibility is the identification, mitigation and incident management of potential fraudulent banking transactions detected by a suite of detection tools and the expeditious investigation and resolution of client initiated fraud claims

Responsibilities:
Knowledge and familiarity with various banking transactions
Knowledge and familiarity with industry regulations such as Reg E and UCC Guidelines
Utilize various investigative tools/techniques to establish and execute investigative plan; gathering facts, researching and analyzing account activity, prepare and document findings
Prepare and document investigative findings in a concise, understandable manner for written communication to appropriate parties
Knowledge and awareness of investigative fraud techniques, tools, systems, databases to utilize in an investigation
Ability to identify and analyze root cause to provide recommendations
Ability to review, analyze and identify suspicious online activity
Ability to communicate, collaborate and work closely with various teams, internally and externally, regarding investigative follow-ups, risk issues involving client/account activity, act as liaison between various parties
Coordinate and assist on proposed decisions and actions to be taken as a result of any fraud investigation
Input and maintain investigative findings in a departmental database for data mining and identification of trends and patterns
Ability to identify and document fraud trends and patterns and present findings to managerial staff
Complete Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) accurately and timely to file with Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) in accordance with banking regulation and internal policy and procedure
Adhere to departmental and corporate policies to ensure guidelines are followed and executed in accordance with managements expectations
Provide excellent customer service to branch personnel and customers impacted by fraud and provide assistance as necessary
