Capital Markets and Core Processing Associate

The Account Transfer Services (ACAT) Specialist will be responsible for providing Account Transfer related Incoming / Outgoing ACAT processing support to all Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Branches and Contra Firms.

Responsibilities:
? Provide ACAT (Deliver and Receive) processing support to all MSSB Branches.
? Answer Inquiries (Service Request Inquiries) from MSSB Branches and telephone inquires for Contra Firms, with-in set service levels.
? Identify and assist MSSB Offices in the resolution of ACAT rejects.
? provide support to outsourced vendor
? Process and Service ACAT related functions (Receive and Delivers): Claims, Rescinds, Fail Reversals, Mutual Fund Clean Up and Manual Processing
? Escalate any issues accordingly and set expectations for MSSB Branches throughout the ACAT process.
? Meet all Service, Processing and Quality Standards
? Capture daily functions on a Daily Metric Report
? Participate in team meetings to share best practices and volume trends.
? Participate in the CSPS cross training programs to broaden and strengthen experience in the industry.

Knowledge / Skills Required:
? ACAT Transfer Experience
? Knowledge of Asset and Account Types (Assets - Securities, Treasuries, Mutual Funds) Account Types - (Retirement, Retail, Joint, Trusts, Etc.)
? Customer-Service etiquette
? Communicate Clear and Concise (verbal and written)
? Research / Trouble Shoot
? Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel
? Detail oriented

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of commercial java experience.
Need to have worked on distributed Java applications, in a service based architecture,
Need to demonstrate in-depth understanding of OO principles, design patterns and threading techniques.
ANSI SQL knowledge is required. Sybase knowledge is highly desirable. Investment banking background is not essential, however, ability to work within tight deadlines and dynamic environment is.
