MGR AFFORDABLE LENDING AVP
This position can be located in MA, NH, VT or ME.
This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective business relationships within the community, developing products and services and implementing effective programs to meet affordable lending goals and objectives. In addition, this position manages the homebuyer education and outreach programs in a targeted area to ensure their effectiveness and monitors and reports on a variety of activities to meet the organizations CRA (Community Re-Investment Act) goals.
Continually develops and maintains expertise of mortgage products and affordable housing issues and keeps informed of developments and trends in the industry to monitor the organizations competitive position in the affordable lending market. Utilizes this expertise and experience to act as a resource for sales staff and management regarding affordable lending products, policies and procedures.
Develops marketing plans to expand affordable lending efforts and achieve affinity sales objectives. Collaborates with sales manager to determine the most effective manner of implementing marketing plans. Manages affordable lending program content of intranet and internet sites.
Develops and maintains effective relationships with leaders in targeted communities to promote the organizations commitment to affordable housing issues and lending practices.
Participates in seminars and attends selected events to represent the organization externally. Creates business opportunities with municipalities, non-profit organizations and corporations.
Manages all aspects of homebuyer education program in targeted areas. Ensures outreach efforts effectively inform organizations and prospective customers about the products and services offered by the organization.
Ensures CRA (Community Re-Investment Act) lending opportunities are generated utilizing relationship building and expansion of existing relationships with diverse representatives of the public and private sectors. Prepares and maintains documentation on CRA requirements and presents results to management.
Exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning performance improvement plans and reviews, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. Coaches, develops and inspires staff to maximize their potential.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.

Broad knowledge of the mortgage industry and expertise in affordable lending practices and CRA requirements. Ability to keep informed of trends and developments in the industry.

Excellent ability to inform and educate mortgage staff and members of the community in affordable lending practices and products and services offered.
Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills are needed to interact with a broad range of employees and external contacts. At ease with public speaking and moderating both large and small groups.
