The Clinical Effectiveness (CE) business is part of the Health division of Wolters Kluwer. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Content Marketing and Global Communications, the Senior Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for creating high-quality assets that engage strategic audiences from air cover (e.g. public relations, web content, social media) to customer acquisition and engagement (e.g. infographics, eBooks, profiles). The ideal candidate will quickly develop a deep understanding of our message and solutions to effectively communicate their impact and value. S/he will be a strategic collaborator on the content marketing roadmap and activities across segments and functions, will contribute to KPIs reporting, and will initiate and manage social and other content programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Think creatively and critically to support content marketing and communications strategy inc. SEO and MQLs improvements, and contribute to the editorial calendar
  • Develop integrated communications programs to increase awareness, such as: activating CE experts on LinkedIn, serials, creating groups of influencers, sponsorships, etc.
  • Manage high-visibility social media content programs, scheduling posts and working with editorial and other teams to continually improve engagement rates
  • Contribute to social media and Quarterly Business Reviews reporting and slides creation
  • Write and update content marketing assets as needed
  • Collaborate with other marketing teams and internal communications on cross-functional projects
  • Participate in the supervision of external resources, like freelance writers or video producers
  • Help ensure compliance with Wolters Kluwer branding, style guide, and legal
  • Assume other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, journalism, public relations, or related field
  • Master's in Marketing, Communications, or MBA a plus

Required Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a content marketing, communications or social media role
  • Demonstrated expertise in telling compelling stories and engaging audiences through rich digital content and on social media
  • Track record for developing marketing campaigns such as email nurtures, ads, landing pages with successful call to actions, or brochures

Preferred Experience:

  • Health care industry
  • You understand the big picture and can translate into easy-to-read and compelling messages
  • You communicate as clearly in copy as you do in person and remotely: concise and accurate
  • You deliver thoughtful long and short form pieces on schedule
  • You have sharp copy editing skills (writing samples required)
  • You have a deep understanding of digital communication and tools like Hootsuite and Marketo
