Role Summary State Street uses third party vendors to support internal processes and in the delivery of certain products and services to clients. The scope of vendors is wide, including technology service providers, custodian and correspondent banks, law firms, data storage providers, and more. These third parties are evaluated and risk assessed through our Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program. TPRM is looking for a highly motivated, strategic, curious, and collaborative individual who possesses excellent communication skills and excels in working in a fast-paced environment.
The Operational Risk Officer will support the ongoing build-out of the vendor on-site assessment component of the TPRM program. This includes researching, organizing and reporting on activities for high risk and enterprise critical vendors, with a primary focus on on-site due diligence visits as well as performance measurement, periodic risk assessments, continuous and supplemental monitoring. This position will require organization, coordination, and interaction with key internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs), to effectively identify, escalate, and manage risk across our most critical third party population. The incumbent will work directly with State Street corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams to analyze, document and defend conclusions of their analysis.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of all artifacts to capture all scoping topics to the vendor dashboard tool. Present this information to SME teams and develop the vendor on site meeting agenda
- Support and manage corporate SME participation in on-site vendor meetings; collect SME feedback and perform all follow-up actions required from vendor on-site meetings and related activities
- Develop subject matter expertise on risk domains and interdependencies between the due diligence requirements, data sources for dashboard tool and data capture processes
- Participate in vendor risk assessments and due diligence analysis, to develop and maintain understanding of the diligence process and SME requirements which inform vendor on site meeting topics.
- Assist with the creation and/or maintenance of procedure documents and FAQs
- Flexibility in working outside of direct responsibilities to support emerging TPRM program requirement changes

Qualifications
- Experience working within financial services sector
- Prior experience in risk management role, preference for vendor risk analysis
- Risk certification such as CRISC, CISA or CRVPM is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Prior experience with Archer / RSA platform is preferred
- Some travel may be required
- This is a hybrid role that will require in-office presence 2-3 days per week

Salary Range: $70,000 - $115,000 Annual
