Enterprise Continuity Services (ECS) develops and oversees a global program that governs the business in the creation of effective and risk appropriate continuity and recovery solutions to support the continuation of critical processing and servicing of our clients.

Scope of Position

The Enterprise Continuity Services (ECS) Technology Resilience Officer will report to the Technology Resilience Lead and is primarily responsible for supporting efforts to ensure that State Streets IT resilience capabilities are aligned with corporate and regulatory expectations. By collaborating with several functions across the organization (i.e. ECS, TPRM, IT, business lines) this role will analyze State Streets technology recovery capabilities, identify gaps/improvement opportunities, and oversee/guide the gap remediation process to closure. The Technology Resilience Program Officer will also oversee the alignment of designated business service and technology criticalities to ensure business recovery in the event of a disruption.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the Technology Resilience Lead and the broader ECS Team in the definition of the Business & Technology Resilience Integration framework
  • Review the alignment of business service criticality and the supporting technology, application, and infrastructure criticality, in regard to the effectiveness of potential recovery in the event of a disruption
  • Analyze technology gap assessments as they are performed, initiate remediation efforts, and follow gaps to closure with the business (i.e. documentation of remediation plans, issue monitoring, and action plan oversight)
  • Perform reconciliations between ECS program management tool and application inventory warehouse, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues to the Technology Resilience Lead as necessary
  • Consult on enhancements and upgrades to ECS management tools as resilience improvement opportunities are identified, and consistently ensure that State Streets technology recovery capabilities are aligned with regulatory expectations
  • Address technology resilience inquiries from the second and third lines of defense, regulatory examinations, targeted risk assessments, and other program critical initiatives. Assist business lines in documenting risk response plans to aforementioned parties at the program level

Qualifications

  • 3+ years Business Continuity experience required
  • Financial services industry experience a plus
  • CBCP Certification or equivalent is desirable, but not required
  • Familiarity and understanding of FFIEC Appendix J - Strengthening the Resilience of Outsourced Technology Services
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, drive results, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills required
