Senior Derivatives Associate

This position, within the North America Derivatives Center of Excellence located in Quincy, will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of derivatives trades and life cycle transactions.  You will serve as a subject matter expert on derivatives and review the work of processors.  As a senior associate, you will also be responsible for training and learning the processes for multiple investment managers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help to manage workflow of A2 processors
  • Provide on the job training on swaps policies and procedures
  • Ensure timely processing of day to day operations
  • Reconcile and research position, accrual, and other variances.
  • Review the work of A2s to ensure accurate processing
  • Work with other teams including AMS, Client Operations, etc. to resolve issues and provide timely answers to inquiries
  • Asses procedures to ensure that areas of risk are mitigated with proper procedures and controls

Required Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of derivatives
  • 2+ years of financial services experience
  • Experience with Derivatives preferred
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, especially excel
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
