The GTS Head of Software Quality Assurance Transformation will be a key leader to ensure standard quality practices and processes are followed while leading a large scale transformational initiative. This senior role requires a candidate who has significant experience and proven success in leading large and complex IT organizations and has a track record of implementing innovation successfully, such as Agile, Cloud and DevOps. The leader would oversee the team that conducts end-to-end testing on applications, platforms and all areas of technology as well as developing the testing framework and policies. He/she has a strong ability to communicate and collaborate across IT and Business divisions effectively to achieve strategic objectives. The senior manager has significant operational experience in software development, including Agile and leading offshore vendors and employees globally. This role will work closely with business leaders in Global Technology Services to ensure that solutions are effective and deliver a balanced solution against the overall business strategy.

Key responsibilities:

• Senior manager with significant experience in leading large and complex IT organizations
• Proven success in leading implementation of multiple large scale transformational initiatives
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across IT and Business divisions to achieve consensus and common goals/objectives
• Significant operational experience in software development, including application development, testing, deployment, and support. Deep understanding of Agile methodology
• Develop and maintains internal Quality Management Systems (including quality policies, trainings, etc.) and executes the test governance framework and processes
• Strategic vision and ability to identify opportunities to increase innovation and advocate approaches to improve operational effectiveness and enhance service delivery
• Maintains a contemporary knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements and methodologies and identifies new technology to assesses their applicability and value at State Street. This role requires should having experience in best practices in testing methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g. automation, test data management, etc.)
• Lead team of global qualitative assurance test engineers across all platforms, applications and technology while streamlining current processes
• Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems across multiple lines of businesses

Candidate Requirements:

• Candidate must be a self-starter and willing to work with ambiguity
• Candidate must be a change agent and possess the business acumen to interface with senior business stakeholders and the ability to offer creative solutions to meet all party requirements
• Significant experience in software development, testing, program management and analysis
• Experience leading and developing internal practice capabilities, contributing to testing methodologies/toolkits, developing thought leaderships / whitepapers and influcing business leads
