DevOps/Change Management VP
GTS is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer/Architect to join our DevOps team. You will have an opportunity to drive positive change in the environment by managing some of the latest technologies in the industry. Your role as a change leader will involve contributing to a high-performing DevOps team, partnering with other technologists in IT and the business to drive our digital transformation. Key Responsibilities for this Role
  • Developing optimized automated CI/CD processes, and working with teams to implement those processes in the enterprise DevOps technology stack
  • Configure build servers to execute the CI/CD processes in a clear, maintainable manner, with high-visibility into the build, test, and deployment phases
  • Work with application teams to help them adopt continuous build, inspection, testing and deployment
  • Help to configure the DevOps stack with regards to performance monitoring, analytics, and auditability
  • Participate in all aspects of DevOps Engineering and promote industry standard methodologies in DevOps Engineering
  • Commit to ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance for our customers in our Production environment
  • Prioritize, rapidly assess and remediate production level issues and lower region issues
  • Work with the Development, project/product management organizations to align projects, releases, patches, and other efforts
  • Develop and maintain installation, configuration and operations procedures
  • Work with a group of highly motivated DevOps engineers and systems administrators
  • Monitor support contracts and licensing
  • Work collaboratively and knowledge share with other divisions and corporate counterparts to foster the mindset of continuous improvement across the environment
  • 8 to 10 years in IT with at least 3 years of DevOps engineering and software development experience required
  • Understanding of SDLC, DevOps/Release Engineering, and Automated deployment processes
  • Knowledge & Understanding of (including configuring and adopting) build tools like Ant, Maven, and Gradle
  • Experience with Cloudbees Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Rational Team concert, Urban code deploy
  • Experience with Github source control is required
  • Strong skills with various operating environments including UNIX, Linux, Windows, Virtual machines
  • Clearly demonstrate hands on experience with shell scripting, Python, Groovy, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong problem analysis, problem resolution, and decision-making and judgment skills
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills, within function and across peer IT and business partners
  • Demonstrate excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build positive relationships within all levels of the organization
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Hands on; i.e. willing to revamp/optimize Ant, Maven, Python or Gradle scripts
  • You will have the opportunity to influence DevOps tools and techniques used as well participate or lead technology evaluations or proof of concepts so remaining active and current on technology trends is essential
Experience with automating deployment, scaling, and management of container applications using Docker
Experience with Elastic Search or Splunk, IBM Jazz, and various platforms including AWS and Azure cloud instances experience a plus
