Application Developer (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, Massachusetts): will be responsible for the automation, continuous integration and customizing vendor specific technologies to deliver IT solutions to our business units and clients. Specific Duties include: automation, continuous integration and customizing vendor specific technologies to deliver IT solutions to our business units and clients; working with development team colleagues; provide solutions for all tiers of the respective applications; research and resolve production issues; research problems discovered by business or product support and develop solutions to the problems; and conduct unit and integration testing.

Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; and 7 years of professional experience including DevOps, CI/CD, AWS, Unix Administration, Build & Release Engineer, Automation, Container Technology and Open source software tools.

Must have: Proven ability to multi-task and take on new technologies; demonstrated experience with highly available and scalable SaaS; demonstrated understanding of development, web operations, and SDLC; demonstrated understanding of J2EE web architecture; demonstrated experience administering J2EE application servers like Websphere/Tomcat and web servers; demonstrated knowledge with Linux, including scripting and performance; proven ability to code in one or more languages, especially Shell, Python, Java, and Bash; proven ability to architect clustered application services for high availability, resilience and performance; demonstrated experience with several technologies and tools, such as PaaS, IaaS, Cloud computing; demonstrated experience in infrastructure as Code using ANSIBLE and AWS Cloud Formation, AWS services like EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, CloudWatch; demonstrated experience using CI CD tools, such as Jenkins, JFROG, Maven, Ant, NPM; demonstrated experience using Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools, such as GIT, SVN, and Clearcase; demonstrated experience in implementing CI CD pipeline for Agile Software development teams; demonstrated experience using code analysis tools, such as SonarQube and veracode; demonstrated experience using scripting languages, such as Shell, Perl and Python; demonstrated experience using middleware tools, such as WebSphere, JBoss, ApacheTomcat; demonstrated experience in ticketing tools, such as ServiceNow, JIRA, BMC Remedy; demonstrated experience in Capacity Planning, Infrastructure Provisioning and Technology Stack planning; proven ability to be a team player with communication skills; and demonstrated experience in debugging and resolving production issues by support level 4 teams.
