Application Development/Maintenance
Application Development/Maintenance (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, Massachusetts): will analyze, design, develop and maintain web-based investment management accounting software supporting State Street's Fund of Funds service and other Accounting Application offerings in a client/server environment. Specific duties of the position include: Analyzing and developing IT solutions using Java-J2EE to meet client needs following the agile team development approach; understanding user needs and developing solutions; designing and developing database objects using DB2 and Oracle; ensuring proper performance tuning; acting as a technical lead for monthly production moves for Ehorizon Accounting applications on a shared rotation schedule; managing efforts within both the agile team and outside agile to ensure tasks are completed successfully by deadlines; anticipating critical issues and risks, and taking responsibility for resolutions across the organization; and using Java-J2EE, Web services, DB2, Oracle, GWT, React JS, HTML5, Ajax, Struts, Autosys and Clear Case/GIT in the performance of job duties.
Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field; and 5 years of experience in Java development, including Java-J2EE, Web Services, React JS, and HTML5.
Must have: Demonstrated experience in server-side Java scripting; demonstrated experience in implementation and development in UI frameworks; demonstrated experience with Ajax, Struts, Autosys, and ClearCase/GIT; proven knowledge of design patterns and architecture; demonstrated experience with MQ and messaging; demonstrated experience in debugging and resolving production issues by supporting Level 4 team; proven knowledge of IBM products like RTC, ISM and Jenkins; and proven knowledge of the overall software development life cycle including development, testing and deployment of all application modules (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the ability in the skills listed above with no specific amount of years of experience required.
