Job Opportunity AML Compliance Associate (Quantitative Analytics) AML Compliance Associate (Quantitative Analytics) -1905603 Description

The Associate, AML Compliance is primarily responsible for ensuring the company complies with all BSA/AML regulatory requirements and internal policy, procedures and recommends opportunities or propose resolutions for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and/or risk reduction for the department. S/he will be responsible to develop, tune, and maintain analytical models for BSA/AML operations. Evaluate quantitative approaches and supporting systems to align analytical models with risk and regulatory requirements. Core responsibilities include data collection, analysis, building and implementing models, tuning and enhancing models, and model documentation. Research best practices and monitor industry developments.


  • Develop and enhance analytical models using data mining and SAS queries.
  • Perform tuning and ongoing monitoring of a variety of analytical models and provide technical guidance to business leadership.
  • Perform statistical/analytical analysis, root cause analysis, data mining in support of BSA/AML operations.
  • Write effective documentation of model development and tuning to meet standard set by the Model Governance Policies.
  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative background, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field; Advanced degree (Ph.D.) strongly preferred.
  • 1-5 years of modeling experience that may be a combination of work experience and/or project work during education.
  • Strong quantitative and statistics background.
  • Excellent programming skills in SAS.
  • Strong ability to access and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources
  • Strong ability to identify potential concerns, analyze and solve problems, ability to work effectively and independently to resolve such issues.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Work well with others yet willing to offer a point of view that may be contrary to conventional wisdom.
  • Excellent PC software skills including Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of AML and experience using/supporting AML modeling. (preferred)
  • Experience with Economics Sanctions filters, tools, and processes. (preferred)
  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques. (preferred)
