Overview of FSX Mutual Fund Transfer Agent:

Technology at FSX provides systematic solutions centered on amainframe platform for our clients in the mutual fund industry. The online componentsof this system interface with numerous surround systems built on a variety ofplatforms (Web based, VRU, other internal and external mainframe systems,etc)  We build, maintain and support afull suite of in-house developed systems covering order processing, trading,clearance and settlement, books and records, reporting and regulatorysystems.  We are currently recruiting for a senior CICS online developerin our Westborough development team.

Overview of the Role:

As an online principal developer/architect for FSX you will beworking closely with colleagues across the Technology department and with ourend-users across the full software development lifecycle. We work in aniterative process using Waterfall methodologies to deliver solutions with thenecessary controls required as a global financial organization. Our team isbased in Westborough, Chennai and Pune.

Consultswith internal business groups to provide appropriate application softwaredevelopment services or technical support. Analyzes, defines and documentsrequirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operatingsystem environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and externalchecks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard developmentmethodology. Works with internal business groups on implementationopportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Analyzesinformation and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issuesfor a specific business group. Contributes to defining time tables and projectplans. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility withhardware and other programs. Takes lead for establishing, implementing andmonitoring 'best practices' for technical development methodologies and tools.Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions.

Appropriate candidates will possess the following:

 Extensive experience (10-15 years preferred) with CICS inan IBM mainframe environment as a principal  developer/architect.  

 Capable of delivering highly complex, scalable and robustsolutions.

 Provides technical and architectural leadership andguidance for the online application.

 Experience within financial services industry at least5-10 years (mutual fund knowledge is a plus).

 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and theability to work well independently.

 Will contribute to the technology development road map forthe team both functionally and technically.

 Effective communication skills, work alongside and collaborateacross technology and business teams.

 Clear understanding and commitment to development andquality standards.

 Encourages innovation and creativity in technologysolutions.

 Stays up to date with current trends and new technologies.

Bachelor'sdegree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalentwork experience required, 8-10 years of experience in software developmentrequired, experience in the securities or financial services industry is aplus.

Must Have:

 Extensive experience (minimum of 10-15 years) with CICS onan IBM mainframe platform.

 Ten plus years of hands-on experience with COBOL,SQL, VSAM, DB2.

 Experience and commitment to a full SDLC culture.

 Bachelor'sdegree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalentwork experience required.

Desirable: 

 Experience/exposure to Java and XML, specific to CICSinteraction with Web Based applications.

 Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

 Knowledge/Experience with transmission protocols: MQ onmainframe platform, TCP/IP

 Experience developing software in a regulated businessenvironment.

 Experience working and delivering solutions across amulti-location team.
