TheClosing Coordinator is responsible for producing a compliant and accurateClosing Disclosure, confirming data accuracy and that pre-closing conditions ofthe loan have been met, preparing accurate and complete closing documents,verifying wires and requesting funds, confirming that key tasks required forclosing are complete, and confirming that closing documents have been executedcorrectly

Primary Accountabilities

  • Quality Review of Loan

    • Thorough quality review of the loanfile to determine readiness to close and concise and accurate input of data

    • Ensure key items and tasks have beencompleted correctly prior to closing

    • Review conditions of the loan toensure they are met on or before closing, as applicable

  • Creation and delivery of ClosingDisclosure

    • Utilize quality checklist to assistin preparing a compliant and accurate initial and final Closing Disclosure,including updates of fees, additional data entry as needed, and identificationof tolerance cures required

    • Communicate with title companies togather information for accurate Closing Disclosure preparation, and coordinatedelivery of Closing Disclosure

  • Creation and delivery of ClosingDocuments and Funding Requests

    • Prepare complete and accurateclosing document packages and closing instructions

    • Prepare funding requests, includingwire verification, to ensure mortgage loan funds are delivered to the titlecompany for timely disbursement

  • Collaboration with Loan Coordinatorand Settlement Agent

    • Coordination as needed with the LoanCoordinator and settlement agent to ensure timely signing of closing documents

    • Support Loan Coordinator inresolving closing issues and/or complaints from customers regarding the closingprocess; escalate closing issues as needed

  • Review of signed closing documentsand approval of funding

    • Utilize quality checklist whenconfirming signed closing documents were executed correctly

    • Communicate with title companyregarding  outstanding closing conditions required to fund the loan

  • Function as a subject matter expertand provide added support to the business

    • Support multiple Clients and Clientplatforms at one time

    • Be a knowledge resource for fellowAssociates

    • Be a resource for issues or problemspresented by fellow Associates

    • Assist in new hire development, asrequested    

  • Other duties or tasks as assigned bymanagement.      



  • Effective verbal and writtencommunication skills

  • Effective Microsoft office skillswith a focus on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook

  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills

  • Ability to prioritize workload, meetdeadlines, and multi-task when necessary

  • Proven effectiveness with complyingto the TILA-RESPA Integrated disclosure regulation (TRID)

  • Ability to prioritize competingtasks while maintaining a high degree of quality/compliance accuracy

  • Detailed knowledge of mortgageclosing process, including TRID and Closing Document preparation

  • Ability to effectively handleescalated issues by utilizing problem solving skills

  • Experience with heavy client/loanofficer interaction


  • Proven expertise with TRIDcompliance related tasks and ability to course correct activities and behaviorsto improve compliance and quality related performance

  • Ability to provide high touch, whiteglove service/response times to wealth management clientele

  • Proven track record of both highproductivity and high quality work across multiple client and file types

  • Proven track record of successfullyproblem solving and successfully navigating difficult files

Educationand Experience


  • High School Diploma or GeneralEducation Degree required.  Bachelor's degree from four-year college oruniversity preferred

  • 1+ years of mortgage closingexperience in the post TRID environment

Language Ability

Abilityto read/comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; writesimple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one/smallgroup situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Mathematical Ability

Ability to add and subtract twodigit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability toperform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement,volume, and distance.
