Team Lead, Engineering (multiple positions) (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Burlington, MA ): responsible for the direct management of a team of software developers and QA engineers in an Agile scrum team environment. The position acts as a scrum master for the team, working closely with the Product Owner and others on requirements, project management, and scheduling. Specific duties of the position include: designing and implementing the architecture and standards for a Web Application using JavaScript based front-end, Java REST services and Oracle and SQL-Server databases; leveraging experience with development of commercial software and multi-tier solutions; exhibiting experience with professional Java server-side; demonstrating ability to provide vision and direction to engineering teams; leveraging experience debugging multi-tier, highly multi-threaded, transactional code; demonstrating exceptional SQL skills with considerable experience in either Oracle or MSS; exhibiting thorough understanding of performance issues and possible solutions; demonstrating experience with Tomcat and other containers; and leveraging experience in the development and support of commercial software products which were sold to non-technical customers in vertical markets. Telecommuting is permitted per Company policy.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field, and 10 years of experience in commercial software development.
Must have: 10 years of proven experience in developing multi-tier solutions; 7 years of proven experience in Java server-side; demonstrated ability to provide vision and direction to engineering teams; proven ability to debug multi-tier, highly multi-threaded, transactional code; proven experience with GUI and server-side; proven experience with SQL skills, and either Oracle or MSS; demonstrated understanding of performance issues; demonstrated experience with Tomcat and other containers; demonstrated experience with Object Oriented design and development; demonstrated experience with product delivery: have been key in developing and supporting commercial software products which were sold to non-technical customers in vertical markets; proven experience developing applications for the financial markets; and proven communication skills (verbal and written), including interpersonal skills, and ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector.
