Use your engineering skills to transform Air Force protection to meet tomorrows threats and challenges. As a mechanical engineer, you should understand the design behind complex systems, key knowledge for building critical systems that perform reliably and safely. You will use your skills to develop custom hardware for the installation of sensors, acoustic transducers, lighting, security systems, radio antennas, operating and storage facilities, and networks that meet system performance goals and have the robustness to survive extreme weather conditions. You will be involved with designing surveillance systems to protect Air Force bases and personnel around the world. You'll leverage expertise in CAD, creating drawings of objects, stress and wind loading simulation, specifications, additive manufacturing, and conventional manufacturing techniques, for directly impacting U.S. military bases around the world by designing surveillance system installations that are robust enough to withstand likely threats. You will have a chance to grow your mechanical engineering skills while gaining experience in defense system design, installation, and operations.
