Why this role is important to us

The team you will be joining is part of Charles River Development (CRD). CRD continues to grow and is expanding its products in several new areas. The Business Development/Partnership position, is a senior-level role helping to drive all 3rd party relationships for Charles River. He/she will work globally across all of CRD's products and solutions. This is a hands-on role that will interact with both internal and external market participants, with a focus on partners and senior leaders at State Street Bank.

  • Maintaining 3rd Part Relationships

The following activities will span across each of the key areas noted above:
  • Support product management in delivering their medium & long term road map
  • New market assessment & sizing
  • Competitive analysis
  • Asses vendor risk
  • Develop launch strategy and execute on global product launches of new products
  • Drive strategic industry analysis and competitive intelligence
  • Drive positioning and content for products and solutions
  • Support global product pricing strategy
  • Work with finance to analyze product profitability and sales success of all offerings
  • Validate new market opportunities for our products and solutions
  • Facilitate contract review and finalize with legal
  • Contract & Partnership negotiations
  • Create pricing strategy with sales & finance
  • Support sales enablement and messaging
  • Assess client interest in new relationships and monitor ongoing feedback on existing partnerships
  • Maintain prioritized requests from sales and clients

What we value

  • Strong candidates will have worked in commercial software and taken part in both initial stages of business vetting and final role out of partnerships
  • Active contributor with high motivation, the ability to take initiative, set priorities, and perform tasks with minimal supervision
  • Specific knowledge of the investment industry (financial instruments, workflows, major players, macro-economic influences, trends, etc.)
  • Strong Analytical skills, with ability to collect, absorb, and analyze information quickly and independently
  • Excellent executive communication (verbal, and written) skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to develop and manage cross functional processes and project timelines
  • Excellent follow-through, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Global business development experience preferred
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering of Economics, Masters in Business Administration preferred
  • 10-15 years of related experience
