VP, Data Science Practice Lead - Marketing/Sales Analytics

Fidelity Workplace Solutions is seeking a VP, Data Science Practice Lead with experience in marketing or sales analytics, customer relationship management, machine learning, natural language processing, predictive and prescriptive analytics. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to have significant leadership experience in a corporate or consulting environment, as well as strong academic qualifications and research background.

This individual will lead high profile data science and artificial intelligence projects working closely with Technology, Product Management, Marketing, Digital Platforms, Call Center, Relationship Management, Sales, Solution Delivery, and others across multiple business units and teams to define and develop AI-based solutions. Candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced, unpredictable and frequently ambiguous environment working with current and emerging AI technologies.

The Skills You Bring

  • Experience working with marketing, sales, or customer relationship management projects is required
  • Experience working in financial services is preferred
  • Strong data extraction, aggregation, and processing skills for big, small, and complex data using SQL, SAS, and related tools
  • Statistical and data science programming skills, including R, SAS, and Python
  • Knowledge of most of the following quantitative fields: Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Statistical Analysis & Modeling, Causal Inference & Program Evaluation, Uplift Modeling, Text Mining & Natural Language Processing, Econometric Time Series Analysis, Behavioral Economics, Design of Experiment, Mathematical Programming, Multi-Objective Optimization, Decision Theory, Stochastic Optimization, Heuristic Algorithms, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Monte Carlo Simulation, Speech Analytics, Bayesian Statistics, and Network Science
  • Exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and statistical graphics
  • Experience in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce or related Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) technologies
  • Knowledge of Deep Learning and related tools such as H2O, TensorFlow, MXNET, or Keras, is preferred
  • Knowledge of business fields or social sciences a plus, such as Marketing, Finance, Economics, Survey Research, Accounting, and Psychology

The Expertise We're Looking For
  • PhD (preferred) in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, or related quantitative/computational fields with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience,

  • Master's Degree in a quantitative or computational field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Biostatistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, or Applied Mathematics, with at least 15 years of relevant industry experience

  • Manage and guide data science and data engineering elements of AI projects
  • Set a strategic direction for data identification, collection and qualification activities
  • Translate use cases to analytics agenda, including data, approach and validation strategy
  • Lead data analysis for multiple projects with diverse scope and complex business and technical challenges across several business units and functions
  • Develop best practices for data science, considering the full analytical lifecycle
  • Develop guidelines for the evaluation of new analytical tools and platforms
  • Act as an evangelist for data science in the enterprise community
  • Present reports and findings to senior level technical and non-technical audiences
  • Act as an analytics relationship manager with business and technology partners, identifies opportunities and priorities, drive consulting and engagement strategy for the group
  • Proactively identify business opportunities and solutions
