Orion (ERP) Training Specialist
The Training Specialist will assist in the execution of training and related change management and communication activities for the Orion Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. The Orion (ERP) () Program is part of a Federal Reserve Systems initiative to transition to integrated, cloud technology platforms. Implementing Orion will be a significant change to the way we do business in our Systems Financial Management, Human Resources, and Procurement functions, and will touchat varied levelsevery FRS employee.
Role and Responsibilities:
This individual will leverage the program level ERP training plans and curriculum to assist in driving cohesive training engagements across the Reserve Banks, under the direction and in collaboration with the Orion Training and Change Management Lead, with the goal of educating and preparing users and functional operators for the ERP systems implementation. This role will work closely with the System Implementation Consultant (Deloitte), the functional training leads for the Finance, HR, and Procurement areas, Reserve Bank trainers, District Transition Coordinators, Reserve Bank subject-matter experts, and Learning Management System team to create learning opportunities that span all levels of the organization.
Monitor, track, and update training plan and coordinate the development of the training execution plan
Help to manage training plans throughout the life of the program, identifying dependencies and synergies
Coordinate with functional team members and technical leads in order to identify and track cross-team dependencies
Engage members of the Orion project team and Subject Matter Experts as necessary in order to gather information, conduct assessments and validate learning material accuracy
Evaluate and provide recommendations regarding course design and delivery concepts
Assist with reviewing the accuracy, consistency and quality from a program perspective of training material developed by the System Implementation Consultant
Ensure trainers have consistent and measurable experience across SIT, UAT, Train-the-Trainer events across functions, develop mitigation strategies as needed
Coordinate the scheduling of learning facilities, technical equipment, and tools for learning sessions (e.g., Trainer Network Sessions, Train-the-Trainer, Support Trainer Sessions)
Assist with defining and tracking program level training KPIs
Develop interactive and engaging virtual avenues to engage trainers and serve as the command center champion to provide on-site and/or virtual support
Serve as the main contact to Learning Management System team:
Act as the Orion subject matter expert in the learning management system (i.e., Saba Online)
Provide technical knowledge of the tool to assist others across program
Serve as a secondary means of support for creating course shells, and creating learning plans
Assist with providing quality spot checks
Manage and track program level learning reports
Complete spot checks with District Trainers to ensure trainers feel adequately prepared and supported to deliver End User Training

Fundamental understanding of the principles of presentation and how to engage participants
Curriculum and/or training development experience preferred
Some travel required and FRS service strongly preferred
Applicant may be located at any Reserve Bank location
This position is a System experience-based development opportunity to support the Orion ERP implementation, from approximately July 2020-September 2021.
