Basic Purpose:

As the product owner of our primary internal investment data web application, the Product Manager will lead a cross-functional team to deliver features for a wide range of users, including portfolio management, trading, research, risk, analysis, sales, operations and compliance.

The Product Manager is responsible for delivering high-value features to end users, while also balancing the strategy for maximizing component reuse and implementation efficiency across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with many types of application end users, with a focus on investment teams and users of investment data
  • Work with users and a designer to prototype solutions to gain user and team understanding and buy-in for a proposed solution
  • Write detailed user stories with specific, testable acceptance criteria and as much context as necessary, including use cases, mockups, wireframes and images as needed
  • Consider the ecosystem of internal tools (trading systems, reporting tools, etc.) when proposing a new solution, as existing tools may be sufficient
  • Work with the team to identify and propose solutions
  • Prioritize the teams upcoming work
  • Negotiate with stakeholders
  • Test to validate feature completeness
  • Communicate product releases, upcoming road map and current priorities to the team, users and other stakeholders
  • Participate in all team agile ceremonies and working agreements
  • Work in close contact with the team to ensure effective communication and common understanding


  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ Years Product Manager or Product Owner experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization/prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to identify patterns and opportunities in problem solving
  • Experience in asset management industry
  • Customer focus
  • Team spirit
  • Experience with tools like Excel and SQL for data analysis and testing
