As a member of the Investor Modeling Technology team, this individual will be responsible for solutions delivery for Portfolio Management teams. This is an ideal opportunity to join a strong, collaborative team and apply business and/or technical skills to enable investment processes to become more effective. This position requires a high level of direct interaction with the firm's talented community of investors and excellent communication and delivery skills. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization. Ongoing training and development will be provided to further develop and hone the individual's quantitative and fundamental skillset.

  • Partner and collaborate with global investment team members to develop and support proprietary investment applications
  • Contribute to requirements gathering, systems analysis, development, testing and maintenance of investment tools on the firm's proprietary modelling platform
  • Manage and communicate delivery timelines
  • Provide regular status reports and issue tracking
  • Provide occasional off-hours testing and support
  • Degree in Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or related field with good mathematical acumen
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Software Developer with solid accomplishments
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience within the financial industry and understanding of the asset management business is a strong plus
    • Experience developing in structured programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.)
    • Experience writing SQL and working with database technologies
  • Knowledge of any of the following technologies currently used in our technology stack is a strong plus and not required:
    • ReactJS / AngularJS / JavaScript
    • OpenFin
    • Node.js
    • GraphQL
    • Python
    • AWS (EC2, RDS, Redshift, S3, Athena, Lambda, ELB)
    • SQL Server 2016 / MySQL Aurora
    • Webservices and Data Formats
    • Market Data (Bloomberg, FactSet, HOLT, S&P, Thompson Reuters)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong follow through skills
  • Attention to detail, self-discipline, and passion to drive change and innovate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced business-critical environment
  • Strong delivery focus and ability to proactively overcome obstacles
