sr. SYSTEMS ANALYST, Portfolio Construction Technology

Overview

 

The Portfolio Construction Technology team plays a critical role our client’s success by providing the right tools to support mission critical investment workflow. There is an opportunity for a strong Sr. Systems Analyst to play a key role, deliver solutions to our business partners, solve complex problems, and strive to advance and sustain a world-class portfolio management software platform.    

 

Responsibilities

 

As a senior member of the Portfolio Construction Technology team, this individual will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Partner with investment team professionals to identify and document business requirements for new software capabilities. This includes working closely with the Portfolio Analyst team and managing relationships with outcome owners across different departments.
  2. Create and analysis of business requirements to provide direction into solution designs, project estimates, and manage overall delivery.  The role requires hands-on involvement, problem resolution, knowledge of the software applications and data flows
  3. Partner effectively with internal Development & QA teams as well as vendors to deliver solutions
  4. Interact directly with investment professionals at all levels of the organization as a trusted advisor.
  5. Provide guidance and supervision of junior members of the team as well as onshore and offshore consultants.
  6. Provide level 2 business analysis support for critical application workflow issues

Qualifications

 

  1. 7+ years business analysis or systems analysis experience in financial statement analysis, investment management or financial services environment
  2. Analytical and problem solving skills in financial systems and data technologies. 
  3. Understanding of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards, derivatives and FX.
  4. Experience with investment data concepts such as holdings, transactions, security master, analytics, and performance.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  6. High attention to detail and strong commitment to delivering quality, professional work is absolutely essential for this position.
  7. Experience with SQL, GIT is a plus.
  8. Willingness and ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, business-critical environment.
  9. Bachelor’s degree
