POSITION

The position will report to the Corporate Insurance Manager and is responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's global corporate insurance needs, including working with external brokers to negotiate coverage across professional liability, property and casualty, and other insurance lines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the ongoing corporate insurance program and renewals for all insurance policies, including gathering and analyzing exposure data; ensure submissions are accurate and meet agreed upon deadlines and reviewing  and opining on insurance quotes and proposals
  • Review insurance policies for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in analyzing the firm's exposure to determine the appropriate limits, deductibles, etc. for all policy types
  • Manage bi-annual certificate of insurance distribution and respond to ad-hoc client and vendor requests for certificates of insurance
  • Manage third-party service provider utilized to secure and track compliance of incoming certificates of insurance received from external suppliers
  • Assist in managing broker insurance relationship including service quality, timeliness, and effectiveness
  • In conjunction with global broker, manage schedule of insurance and open items list; responsible for resolution of open items with broker
  • Assist in managing claim submissions and settlement activities
  • Administer all aspects of the insurance budgeting, invoicing and reconciling processes
  • Track receipt of insurance policies and maintain insurance policy documentation, records, and archives
  • Analyze policy terms and conditions for required and enhanced coverage opportunities
  • In conjunction with Corporate Insurance Manager, serve as subject matter expert for insurance-related issues and interface cross-functionally with other departments including Enterprise Sourcing, Legal, HR, IT and Real Estate
  • Respond to client requests for insurance coverage information, including negotiating agreed upon language and limits in RFPs and client contracts
  • Support vendor contract negotiations relative to insurance requirements
  • Assist with and/or lead other corporate insurance risk management initiatives and/or projects as necessary

 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree require
  • The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of insurance experience, preferably at an investment management firm or insurance broker and have risk management experience
  • Insurance credentials such as CPCU, ARM or CRM preferred
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to effectively lead discussions and meetings, present information to management and clients, and to communicate issues to key stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently to identify, research and resolve unfamiliar risks and issues and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized; ability to prioritize, multi-task and work well under aggressive deadlines while delivering superior customer service
  • Ability to collaborate across departments with a professional presence; proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong business relationships at all levels within the organization
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint with strong emphasis on data analytics capability
