Sr. Director, Corporate Business Development

The SeniorDirector will be an integral part of the Fidelity Corporate BusinessDevelopment Group (the FCBD). FCBD is a multidisciplinary team thatevaluates strategic opportunities, including potential acquisitions,divestitures, strategic alliances, as well as business unit evaluations andreviews.

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • B achelor'sdegree required; MBA/CPA required
  • 5 years of experience with Finance, Mergers andAcquisitions, Banking and/or Corporate Development
  • Excellentresearch and communication skills - the ability to gather and synthesizematerials on companies, products, industries and effectively communicatefindings
  • Superiororganizational and process/project management skills
  • Complexfinancial/valuation modeling skills

FCBD is amultidisciplinary team that evaluates strategic opportunities, includingpotential acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances, as well as businessunit evaluations and reviews.

  • Expertisein Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is vital

  • Transactionexperience is a plus
  • Knowledge/familiaritywith the Fidelity organizational structure is preferred

  • Supportingthe FCBD team in the valuation and due diligence process of potentialacquisitions and strategic investments including the coordination of due diligence activities with internal teams
  • Assistingthe FCBD team with strategic evaluations of core and non-core businessesincluding improvement of financial profitability
  • Stayingcurrent on industry trends through research, affiliation with professionalorganizations, and attending conferences and seminars as needed
  • Researchingand analyzing current and future trends in the financial services industry,including asset management, discount brokerage, institutional services, andretirement services
  • Monitoringstrategic moves of top competitors/industry leaders
