Senior Vice President, Technology & Operations
This position is responsible for leading a number of the Banks critical technology functions and operations - specifically, the Business Technology Services (BTS)
Department, which includes application development, project management and end user services; the Information Security Department; the Banks national IT responsibilities; and the Banks Cash and Wholesale Payments operations. This position is expected to ensure strong performance, innovation, risk management and accountability across the functions in the Technology and Operations division. This position serves on FRB Bostons Executive Committee, which sets policies for the Bank, and contributes at the highest level to Bank and/or System initiatives. This position requires the executive presence, relationship management, and communications skills to represent the Bank at the System level and with other external constituents and organizations.
Demonstrate subject matter expertise.
1.BTS: Develop and implement the strategic technology direction for the Bank in order to provide a broad range of cost effective, high-value IT solutions and services both within the Bank and throughout the System including application development and support, project and relationship management, as well as local desktop and network services.
2.Information Security: Lead the Information Security Department, which is responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and information systems owned and managed by the Bank. Ensure that the Information Security team provides cyber risk management expertise and consulting to help drive favorable business outcomes and support Bank departments in delivering on organizational goals.
3.National IT: Assist in the development and implementation of System-wide information technology strategies, budgeting priorities, and operational improvements, as well as oversee various National IT responsibilities.
4.Cash: Oversee the Banks cash services operation, which involves the distribution and supply of high-quality currency for the financial community, and the destruction of currency no longer fit for circulation. Contribute to innovation in cash services and ensure adherence to performance standards and compliance with strict loss management and control activities.
5.Wholesale Payments: Oversee the Banks wholesale payments operation, which includes providing the majority of operational and customer support for the Fedwire Funds, Fedwire Securities, Joint Custody Collateral Service, and the National Settlement Service business lines. Contribute to innovation and ensure adherence to performance standards and compliance with controls activities.

1.Lead and oversee the achievement of strategic objectives, risk management activities, employees, and budgets of the BTS, Information Security, Cash and Wholesale Payments Departments as well as the Banks national IT responsibilities. Mentor, guide and coach direct reports in order to expand their capabilities and ensure management depth (succession) within the Bank and the System.
2.In conjunction with other members of the Banks Executive Committee, support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, vision, strategic high priority objectives, policies, values, and culture of the Bank and the Federal Reserve System.
3.Collaborate with other members of the Banks Executive Committee, to establish the strategic high priority objectives and policies of the Bank, consistent with the Federal Reserve System and Board of Governors mandate(s).
Visible, influential leader in the Bank, System and Community
1.Participate fully in Bankwide activities, effectively represent the Bank at the System level, and be recognized as an industry leader in the community/industry in order to further the reputation of the Bank as a thought leader.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This position is required to directly and/ or indirectly supervise others.
What You Will Bring:
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelors degree (Masters preferred), and a minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience. A strong technology background is required with at least 10 years of experience managing a department/ division.
