The Role:
The Sr. ESG Marketing Manager is responsible for leading marketing for all S&P Global ESG solutions and targeting relevant client segments to drive brand awareness, coherent product positioning, and revenue growth.

The Team:
The S&P Global Market Intelligence marketing team is composed of creative and enthusiastic B2B marketing professionals located around the world. As part of the Commercial organization - with strong partnership to Product - we focus on providing values to clients, building our brand awareness, and driving front-end pipeline. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage annual marketing plans and associated budgets; proactively develop, plan and execute integrated marketing programs designed to help build overall S&P Global ESG awareness and deliver top-of-funnel results for all relevant solutions.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing initiatives that match the buyer's journey concept; collaborate with global Branding and Marketing colleagues in adopting brand voice and creating brand compliant visuals in all marketing campaigns and programs.
  • Utilize Marketing Automation Platforms such as Marketo to build programs for generating top-of-funnel results and nurturing leads towards conversion in a marketing funnel.
  • Create a coherent digital presence on our public website and social media channels for showcasing S&P Global ESG solutions and values; maintain and update content.
  • Facilitate and drive the development of S&P Global ESG thought leadership content by working with analysts, news reporters, researchers, economists, and product managers across all business divisions; promote content through integrated channels.
  • Identify and engage high impact speaking opportunities for S&P Global thought leaders and spokespersons to showcase our content and solutions.
  • Work with internal and external communications colleagues to build internal awareness and maximize external market and media exposure of thought leaders, senior leaders, content, and solutions.
  • Create market focused, client persona driven sales enablement tools such as S&P Global ESG external presentations, brochures, talking points, pitch books, and FAQs.
  • Coordinate marketing activities with all S&P Global divisions to ensure messaging alignment, outreach efficiency, and maximum impact through activities such as speaking engagement, event sponsorship, content placement, media interview, etc.
  • Identify external collaboration opportunities with regional and global organizations and government agencies.
  • Provide analysis of the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and measure against industry benchmarks. Compile, analyze and present marketing campaign/program results to management. Utilize systems (i.e., Salesforce.com, Marketo, Google Analytics, etc.) to measure marketing campaign effectiveness including ROI, leads analysis, expense tracking, and web metrics.
  • Gather client insight, comments and suggestions on our products and services via direct customer contact at events, client roundtables, product user training sessions, surveys, and market focus groups. Establish intimate understanding of clients and market opportunities.
  • Act as a leader who could form a team without having formal reporting lines and leverage the unique strength of each team member to maximize the team's effectiveness.
Your Skills:
It is expected that you have extensive marketing skills as a strong individual contributor as well as an excellent team player in a dynamic regional and global environment team. Leadership skills are also required for managing complex marketing initiatives and collaboration with partners and stakeholders. Having a strong communication skill is crucial. In addition to marketing experience in the ESG field, you should have a broad based knowledge of Capital Markets and Financial Services Industry overall.

You will partner with S&P Global ESG initiative managers and thought leaders who have deep subject matter expertise and market knowledge while working closely with Corporate Branding and divisional Marketing teams to execute on the marketing plan.

The role requires extensive digital and content marketing expertise and segment-specific knowledge. It's crucial you have ability in working in a matrix organization effectively and exercising your direct and indirect influences on others.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $67.6k to $ 157.4k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • A minimum of 6 years of marketing experience, including 3 years in the ESG field
  • Knowledge in credit, index, and commodity products
  • Ability to develop and execute marketing plans and ideas aligned to brand awareness targets, business objectives, sales goals, and budget
  • Experience in branding and positing new solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously for producing excellent results and meeting project deadlines
  • A strong ability to work closely with various cross-functional groups across the globe
  • Experience with online, SEM, SEO, social media well as in classic marketing; experience working with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems- eg: Marketo, Eloqua, Salesforce.com or similar tools
  • Experience in creating marketing collateral and campaigns
  • Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports
  • Proactive approach and ability to work independently, without direct supervision
  • Demonstrated ability in working across team and business divisions, influence others who don't share a reporting structure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, and Marketo marketing automation desired
