Senior Desktop Engineer | Quant Trading Firm ($50+ Billion AUM) | Boston

This is an opportunity for a Senior Desktop Engineer to join a tight-knit and well established team. This individual will operate in a dynamic role on a small team supporting escalated tickets and implementing solutions to proactively eliminate recurring issues.

Long term, you will also have the opportunity to identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to help this firm modernize their desktop engineering environment, leverage more scripting/automation, and migrate to Azure.

Opportunity:

  • Address high-priority, escalated tickets across a range of technologies and systems
  • Identify trends, perform root cause analysis, automate processes, and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues
  • Collaborate with other technology teams to evolve critical help desk systems

Qualifications:

  • BS or equivalent degree
  • 6+ years of help desk experience, primarily in a Microsoft environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products including Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, and Windows 10
  • Experience supporting desktops, laptops, and software
  • Networking and scripting skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a good measure of ingenuity
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner
