Analyst, Senior (FPA)
As a Analyst, Senior within our Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) department, you will conduct financial analysis for our Cash Services and Wholesale Payments departments, supporting Bank-wide strategic planning and budgeting, and monitoring and reporting on operational and strategic performance. We ask that you have solid knowledge of accounting and finance, internal Federal Reserve financial and cost accounting, financial management applications, and Bank strategies and operations. You will rely on your experience to plan and accomplish the necessary goals. You will report to FPA Manager.
Analyze performance metrics for Cash Services.
Publish the Monthly Snapshot Report.
Analyze daily deliveries and shipments to project daily volume and associated resource needs
Improve analytical tools and reports used in the Cash Services department.
Support management in the development of Cashs plan and budget. Review historical data; make projections to volume, costs, staffing, and expense. Prepare department input into the operating budget, labor distributions, and other required functions for the budget process.
Prepare presentations, reports, and conference materials for local management and Product Offices, including statistical reports and graphs, cost, volume and quality reports, in addition to special projects.
Conduct complex financial analysis on a variety of topics.
Participate on Bank-wide diverse and System workgroups. Provide high-level support, including the writing of correspondence, to senior management on a variety of tasks.
Help develop Bank-wide operating and capital budgets. Review business plans and budgets for assigned areas. Summarize important issues and collaborate with departments to resolve them. Prepare sections of the Plan and Budget document for management, Board of Governors, and Board of Directors.
Advise and assist departments in developing budget forecasts.
Advise departments and others when interpreting financial management policies or implement new programs. As the Analyst, Senior, you would be called upon to resolve the most complex issues in the department, including functional and technical questions.
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field and a minimum of 6 years of job-related experience.
Master's degree preferred
Workday/Adaptive Insights experience preferred
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including making Pivots Tables & VBAs
Database management experience with Microsoft Access
Finance, Budget and Forecasting
Data Analysis and interpretation
