Sector Sales - Alternatives, Vice-President
Who we are looking for

We are seeking Vice-President candidates for a role within our Sector Solutions Sales team - the focus of the role will be Alternative Investments. This is a direct sales quota carrying position. This is also a new business sales role, requiring you to research opportunities, initiate discussions, build prospect relationships, manage sales process and close deals that generate new revenue. This role would be located in either Boston or may be able to be based in another location, in some cases.

The Sector Sales team you will join is a part of State Street Global Clients Division (GCD). GCD streamlines client interaction by focusing resources to their global strategic priorities through a simplified and consistent client service.

What you will be responsible for the following:
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Conduct business research on prospects / opportunities
  • Become familiar with State Street's MF technology, and MF-related product offerings
  • "Sell the Firm": Candidate will be responsible for learning / selling State Street's products / services across alternatives and global markets
  • Perform product demonstrations and presentations
  • Represent State Street at relevant industry events and conferences
  • Provide regular and accurate reporting back to Head of Sales - Asset Manager and Insurance
  • Working closely with operations, legal, risk and relationship management to align opportunities with corporate requirements
  • Network across State Street to uncover other relationships / services that enhance prospecting opportunities
  • To understand, monitor, and communicate competitor activity throughout the market, identifying key strengths and weaknesses
  • To provide product positioning, marketing materials, and industry trends

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree, Master's degree (or equivalent) preferred
  • At least 10 years of successful sales experience
  • Deep financial services background
  • Willingness to travel regularly
  • Ability to generate new business through prospecting
  • Ability to gain access and interact with C-level executives
  • Experience in Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure.
