POSITION
THE POSITION:
This leadership role exists in the Risk Governance & Reporting ("RGR") team within Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM"), reporting to the head of RGR. The team has a global remit to implement tools and capabilities that will be key components of the enterprise risk framework, while collaborating with leaderships of risk teams and the global Risk Committees to enhance the firm's risk governance capabilities. Within that remit, this position will have an initial portfolio of work centered on establishing an enterprise-wide Risk Event Management ("REM") capability. Over time, we expect this role to evolve as the REM program matures and responsibilities will encompass a broader set of duties to enhance enterprise level risk reporting and further evolve the firm's risk governance. Success in this role will be critically dependent on building valued relationships across the three lines of defense and risk committees. This is a high profile role with opportunity for cross-functional collaboration and professional development.

Responsibilities include:
  • Establish vision for and lead implementation of the firmwide Risk Event Management program; this includes setting priorities for risk event types for inclusion in the GRC technology platform
  • Work with risk management teams to drive the objectives of raising incident management standards and migrating all major incident types into the GRC
  • Collaborate with IT and the GRC program team to architect a unified technology solution that suits the needs of all major incident types and their key stakeholders
  • Develop a reporting and analysis capability to create transparency around the firm's risk events, their associated risks, control gaps, and mitigation actions and enable continual process improvement for business and risk teams
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 8+ years of experience required, with focus in asset management preferred
  • Major technology project implementation a strong plus
  • Incident management experience a plus
  • ServiceNow GRC experience a plus
  • Experience with data management and control a plus
  • Strategic thinker, with an ability to translate strategy into tangible implementation plans
  • Excellent connector who comfortably builds and maintains strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Catalyst for change, with proven ability to constructively challenge status quo
  • Excellent problem-solver, with a recognized ability to find novel solutions for complex operational challenges
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized; ability to prioritize, multi-task and work well under aggressive deadlines while delivering superior outcomes
  • Ability and desire to drive key initiatives within a small team
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written and listening skills
