Responsibilities

Operations responsibilities
• Daily reconciliation of client and portfolio manager accounts
• Entering and updating daily transaction records manually or using automated tools
• Monitoring automated trading activity and handling exceptions
• Production of compliance and operational reports
• Setup of client and portfolio manager accounts on both the IBAM platform and with our custodian

Analyst responsibilities
• Analyzing and monitoring investment portfolios offered by the firm
• Designing and building in-house quantitative portfolios
• Defining and building internal and external reporting of risk, transaction cost analysis and business metrics

Qualifications

Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology
  • 1-2 years' experience with investment management operations
  • Understanding of investment performance and risk analysis ; Knowledge of equities, funds and other financial instruments
  • Experience programming in R
Desirable:
  • Experience programming in SQL
  • Professional designation: CFA or CFP or Series 65
Additional skills and attributes:
  • Highly numerate, analytical, rigorous and detail oriented
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously at times
  • As a small fast moving company there may be opportunities to work in other areas of the business, so broader experience would be an asset, including but not limited to:
    • accounting and payments
    • scripting e.g. VBA, Java
    • IT support
