The Expertise We're Looking For

  • Education: You must demonstrate interest or experience in the financial services industry and have an MBA degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: You must have exceptional analytical, communication, project management and problem-solving capabilities along with superior leadership skills. Your flexibility and ability to both lead and contribute to teams is a must.

The Purpose of Your Role

As a Management Consultant you will be a vital part of a three to six person project team. As such, you will be responsible for partnering with senior Fidelity Leadership teams to tackle challenges across all of Fidelity's business units. As a Management Consultant we hope that after two to four years you will serve as a talent pool for opportunities elsewhere in Fidelity.

The Skills You Bring
  • You have a track record of success in an analytical setting and a long-term career interest in becoming a senior manager in a financial services firm
  • You have experience doing primary and secondary research, including the synthesis of findings to develop practical, actionable recommendations
  • You're able to analyze and structure key components of a business model
  • You're able to influence middle to senior management, through both personal interactions as well as the creation and delivery of presentations
  • You are able to communicate clearly and develop relationships with both peers and the highest levels of management
  • You possess strong conceptual skills and are comfortable with ambiguity
  • You're knowledgeable of and intellectually curious about the financial services industry
  • You pay attention to detail and have a strong sense of accountability for results

The Value You Deliver
  • Directing and executing various analyses
  • Conducting primary and secondary research
  • Developing insights and conclusions from analysis and research
  • Interacting with Fidelity personnel at various levels, including senior executives, to gather data and build consensus
  • Preparing presentations and assisting in presentations to senior executives
  • Developing knowledge and skills necessary to assume additional responsibilities within FC or other parts of Fidelity
