POSITION

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Lead Systems Analyst position to support our Multi-Strategy investment business. With billions of dollars in assets under management, we have several investment teams that engage in multi-manager, multi-asset and custom solutions; managing various outcome oriented, factor, alternative risk premia and thematic portfolios on behalf of clients. The teams also provide bespoke research and advice across various topics such as asset allocation, fundamental factors, thematic investing and manager research.  Our portfolio construction process involves allocations across equities, bonds, rates, currencies, and commodities, on a global basis, using both derivatives and physical securities. 

 

We are building an entirely new investment platform to support all investors.  This position will focus on building out multi-manager, multi-asset portfolio construction & research capabilities within the platform. This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT professional to join a strong, collaborative team and apply both business analysis and technical skills in a role with leadership and advancement opportunities.   The individual will be responsible for requirements gathering, systems analysis, solutions design, prototyping, testing, and project management and work with the development team to design and develop a robust system that interacts effectively with other internal systems and provides an efficient user experience for our business.

 

This position requires a high level of collaboration and interaction with our other technology partners across the department, and an ability to deliver in a fast paced and evolving environment. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization.  Excellent communication and delivery skills are required.
Responsibilities:
-    Engage with business partners at all levels of the organization to gather and document requirements for the multi-strategy investment platform

-    Champion the needs of the business partners; act as their fiduciary

-    Lead the systems analysis for business requirements providing detailed use cases to the delivery team

-    Develop a strong partnership with the delivery team as well as other IT teams to ensure on time, scalable and high-quality business solutions

-    Create prototypes; assist with systems and UX design

-    Help refine architecture and build out supporting infrastructure for rollout of new capabilities

-    Help the development teams define effort estimates and implementation schedules

-    Ensure quality of product by enforcing high standards in testing and building audit/validation controls

-    Manage product releases and assist with post-release testing

-    Provide hands-on analysis for support issues and assist with user training

-    Provide regular status reporting and issue tracking
  Qualifications:
-    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance or related subject

-    8+ years of systems analysis experience with at least a few years in investment management or financial services industry

-    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail

-    Experience working directly with business partners to understand their needs and leading the solution delivery

-    Experience writing requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test plans

-    Comfortable working in test driven development environment using agile methodologies

-    Good understanding of various financial instruments as well as investment data concepts such as holdings, transactions, analytics, and performance

-    Self-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast-paced team environment

-    Experience working with investor workflows in areas of portfolio construction and research, is a plus

-    Hands-on experience in SQL or other relational database technologies is desirable

-    Strategic mindset; strong work ethic

-    Ability and interest to learn independently and from peers
