Job Description Purpose:
For a leading and rapidly growing Asset Management firm, the Investment Data Office champions a long-term, strategic initiative to unify and harmonize our investment data. This initiative enables enhanced investment decision making, risk management and client reporting for our multi-asset platform by delivering consistent, timely, accurate and user-friendly data to investors, risk teams and clients. Using strong project management and technical acumen, the Investment Data Product Owner plays a key role in bridging investment data business user needs and technology enablement. The Investment Data Product Owner translates the investment data strategy and roadmap into actionable stories, and in consultation with others on the Investment Data Team, prioritizes and manages these stories. This individual is part of an Agile team dedicated to addressing investment data requirements, and directs the agile team to the realization of the strategy and vision. The position is part of the Investment Data Team and will be based in Boston.

Principal Responsibilities:
1. Manages the investment data agile team resources and budget, and informs funding decisions for the program.
2. Facilitates the creation and maintenance of a master implementation plan for all Investment Data Management Program Initiatives, integrating technology implementation plans, the strategic roadmap and all other program initiatives.
3. Accountable for achieving business outcomes through agile delivery. Serves as primary communicator between stakeholders and the team, utilizing feedback loops to ensure continuous sharing of information.
4. Responsible for oversight, orchestration and escalation of "stories" related to IBOR, enhanced security master, reference data integration and processing, and for making data accessible downstream.
5. Serves as a member of the Investment Data Governance Council.
6. Collaborates with the Investment Data Quality and Stewardship team to ensure stories are well articulated and appropriately prioritized,build alignment with key stakeholders, and to secure support for the roadmap.
7. Develops clear acceptance criteria that guides the team to produce incremental quality improvements. In collaboration with the agile team, creates a uniform definition of "done".
8. Actively manages external dependencies and impediments that could impact the team's completion of Release/Sprint Goals. Actively collaborates with other Product Owners on work that has interdependencies or contingencies between agile teams.
9. Collaborates and coordinates implementation efforts of the Investment Data Team with the Investment Data Tech Leader.
10. Participates in scrum ceremonies (Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospective) and long-term planning exercises (Roadmapping, Release Planning).
11. Continually enhances knowledge of systems, products, and the industry.
12. Participates in the internal Product Owner Community of Practice to exchange knowledge, skills and ideas with people across the organization.
13. Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a major in finance, computer science, data science or related fields.
2. 5-7 years of industry experience, with experience as a Product Owner on an Agile team. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred.
3. Strong understanding of investment data and technology.
4. Strong negotiation and communication skills, and experience with the ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organization.
5. Knowledge of and/or experience with writing effective user stories and acceptance criteria.
6. Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.
7. Ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization.
8. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
