Head of Enterprise Continuity Services - SVP
Role Summary:

Global Head of Continuity Services across the corporation. This role is responsible for the overall strategy, execution and management of a team of 45+ globally, 2 of whom are Subordinate Regional Heads, in addition to 3 other subordinate managers. The role also requires providing leadership and support to a virtual team - some 45+ Business Continuity Directors (VP and SVPs) and over 300 Business Continuity Planners and Team Leaders throughout the globe in their roles to develop and maintain business unit continuity plans in compliance with corporate program standards. Also responsible for GCS annual budget. The role covers the corporation across all regions, locations, lines of business and corporate support groups.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for oversight of State Street's overall Business Continuity program and monitor the Business in their adoption of the program and report/escalate compliance to the program, and associated continuity risks to Executive Management, the Executive Continuity Steering Committee, TORC and the Board of Directors.
  • Establish and maintain an effective and global regulator approved continuity program that develops effective business line plans and tests to ensure we can recover from the critical and unplanned events.
  • Provide a comprehensive Crisis management Program to respond to critical events on a local, regional and global level. Provide regional support with a follow-the-sun model. The program requires strong collaboration and established relationships at all levels within the organization to be effective. It also requires routine testing via simulation or table top exercises. Also, provide education, training and relevant tools.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Chair of the governance body overseeing enterprise business continuity and reporting readiness and risks to appropriate executive and board committees as needed, e.g. TORC and operational risk committee of the board.
  • Establishing and maintaining program policy, standards, guidelines and associated tools and reporting capabilities to enable business line compliance and monitoring of plans, preparedness, and key data
  • Serve as the executive responsible interfacing to internal stakeholders and regulators.
  • Directly responsible for our ability to satisfy our regulatory posture and their associated views of State Street's overall performance and ability to grow
