The Global Business Development team is responsible for cultivating prospective business as well as supporting retention and development efforts with existing clients. Analysts collaborate with investment directors and senior members of the Global Business Development team to create winning business development strategies and prepare materials necessary to win and retain business. This role offers a platform for learning the fundamentals of portfolio management and business development while playing an integral role in the business development process.

Global Business Development Analysts typically spend the majority of their time focused on writing business proposals for the endowment & foundation and pension practices at Cambridge Associates. Analysts typically specialize by practice and are cross-trained to provide support across practices.
This position requires significant business writing and interpersonal skills to interface with investment teams and senior management of the firm as well as with prospective and existing clients. It provides the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the core components of our business, building a solid foundation for career development within Global Business Development.
•Vet, create, produce, and submit responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) received by the team. This might include speaking with prospective clients to determine their needs and potential fit for CA.
•Work with senior members of Global Business Development, investment directors, and subject-matter experts in departments across the firm to craft custom answers for investment content and non-standard answers.
•Document and upload all activities into marketing tracking system to ensure accurate pipeline analytics.
•Participate in broader business development efforts when possible, including pitch materials, custom proposals, and other prospect and client communications to support business development efforts and cultivate a broader understanding of our business for career development opportunities.
•Interest in and basic understanding of financial services
•Prior RFP writing experience in the financial services industry a plus
•Strong written and oral communication skills (writing sample required)
•Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize responsibilities
•Ability to work in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
•Strong project management skills and proven ability to effectively “manage up”
•Strong attention to detail
•Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
•Must be eligible to work without sponsorship or restriction in the US
