Support the Fixed Income Credit Research Team with daily responsibilities and special projects. Interact with the Credit Research Analysts in individual security research, industry sector reviews and quarterly asset sector reviews. Develop and contribute to essential research databases.
Responsibilities:
- Collate market data for Research Team to assist in identifying relative value in asset classes, sectors and issuers
- Perform fundamental investment research. Update and build financial models and issuer investment thesis
- Help to automate and standardize the research process
- Develop and contribute to databases for ESG, New Issue and Management meetings
- Assist Analysts in completing and posting issuer research and industry sector reviews
- Prepare quarterly High Yield asset sector review
Desirable Qualifications:
- Undergraduate junior or senior or Graduate level student with quantitative/analytical aptitude and meaningful coursework or major in finance, accounting, economics, computer or data science
- Self-starter, easy going, must be accountable, willing to take direction, detail oriented, ability to organize workload and work within designated time frames
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently and work effectively with other individuals and or departments
- Intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic and an interest in the financial markets
- Understanding of Financial Statement Analysis
- Microsoft Excel, including macros, vlookup and pivot tables
- Basic experience in programming such as Python, R, Java or similar
