Director, Thought Leadership
The Thought Leadership team seeks a writer/editor/project manager who can create content for Fidelity's investment-focused thought leadership agenda. The successful candidate will have experience developing content about investment topics and/or financial services, and a demonstrated interest in the industry.
The Expertise We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; progress toward CFA, MBA, or equivalent graduate degree preferred Three to five years of relevant experience as a communication or financial services professional Experience researching, writing, and editing commentaries, articles, white papers, client-relations documents, etc. Familiarity with investment product marketing a strong plus
You will help share Fidelity's highest level of investment insights with the marketplace. Working with our internal investment and marketing colleagues, you will craft messaging that tells current clients and potential customers why Fidelity is a valuable partner in reaching their investment goals. You will help professional investors and retail clients alike understand the research, analysis, and process that goes into managing Fidelity's industry-leading investment products and services. By presenting Fidelity's deep expertise in a compelling way, you will help to build customer trust and loyalty.

- You have superior writing and editing skills, with the demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in concise and engaging ways You have a strong interest in financial markets and investing You bring strong interviewing and research skills, with the ability to synthesize relevant information about complex investment topics into accessible written content You can collaborate productively with partners who have very different skills and communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of colleagues including peers, management, and investment experts You can prioritize tasks and meet deadlines on multiple projects at once, while maintaining attention to detail and high quality in all of your work
- Editing and writing drafts of articles on investment insights, as well as market and economic overviews Collaborating with investment professionals and other subject matter experts, including product managers, portfolio managers, research analysts, economic analysts, to develop content Researching a variety of investment and economic topics, in order to write about those ideas clearly and concisely for a range of audiences Managing projects end-to-end, including crafting a proposal, writing outlines and drafts, vetting with subject matter experts, collating feedback, supervising layout by our design team, executing quality control, responding to feedback from compliance, and helping the marketing group with promoting the finished piece Helping inform the development of multimedia versions of thought leadership, including videos, blogs, infographics, podcasts, etc. Reviewing, editing, and proofreading content developed by other members of the team
As a dedicated squad of communicators, the Thought Leadership team is instrumental in producing materials that express Fidelity's best thinking about investing, and differentiating our offerings from those of our peers. By doing your job well in writing and project-managing these materials, you help disseminate Fidelity's best insights, in order to increase the value we bring to our relationships and to grow our institutional business.Company Overview
