ThisSenior Finance role within Fidelity Institutional (FI) is a unique opportunity that will provide greatdevelopment opportunities by way of its very challenging and rewardingwork. Milestones for year one will be managingthe day-to-day work and development of a team of 3, stepping into a leadershiprole on a number of cross-enterprise projects, establishing yourself as adeeply knowledgeable contact for FI and Brokerage Operations &Tech's (BO&T) overall Financial results,and eventually being called upon to provide direct support for the FI CFO. This role would ideally be based in JerseyCity, but Boston applicants willing to travel up to 20% of the time would beconsidered.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum of 6 years ofexperience in an accounting/finance, or equivalent function
  • Experience managing or running a budget process

The Purpose ofYour Role

The Finance Director positionwithin the FI Central Finance function supports consolidated planning,reporting and analysis for Fidelity Institutional (FI) and Brokerage Operationand Tech (BO&T). This position is responsible for driving aconsistent planning process across FI and BO&T, analyzing and interpretingfinancial results and information to help guide business decisions, andproviding direct support for the FI CFO.

  • Directing annualplanning processes including budgeting and forecasting, partnering withCorporate Finance and CFOs across FI and BO&T
  • Reviewing, analyzing andmonitoring business performance, preparing analytics and other ad hoc requestto senior management
  • Maintaining in-depthknowledge and understanding of FI's financial results, including drivers,emerging trends, and anomalies so as to be able to convey to seniormanagement
  • Coordinate across FIFinance to assess the financial implications of business decisions
  • Consolidating andissuing monthly financial reporting packages and other key reports, evolvingreporting as needed to meet changing focuses/and or management needs
  • Articulating outcomes ofanalysis and relevant insights to senior level management to guide effectivedecision-making.
  • Designing, building andimproving financial models to support strategic initiatives
  • Coaching, developing andmanaging performance and output of direct reports
