The Alpha Platform Management Configuration Specialist supports the Alpha Platform roadmap by contributing to strategic initiatives in Alpha Platform Management and delivers new services and capabilities across the Alpha ecosystem.

The Alpha organization consists of Charles River Development and Alpha Services (Investment Manager Services and Alpha Data Services). Together, we are driving the strategic vision for State Street into 2023 and beyond.

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $142,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.

What you will be responsible for
As an Alpha Platform Management Configuration Specialist you will
- Deliver end-to-end configuration of processes, reports, extracts and APIs against Snowflake databases and 3rd party applications
- Collaborate with other engineering resources across the organization to leverage existing capabilities and provide feedback to improve core capabilities
- Understand business requirements and convert them into technical requirements
- Provide plans and associated estimates for assigned development activities
- Create high quality processes, reports, extracts and APIs along with associated queries and/or 3rd party configurations
- Ensure all Alpha UX and UI standards are adhered to and provide feedback to improve standards
- Unit test development and support automated testing procedures
- Respond to and manage support inquires, determine root-cause for defects raised and provide timely solutions and/or fixes
- Strong technical skills and appreciation for DevOps and CI/CD
- Experience with Jira/Confluence/Github using Azure/Snowflake and Java/scripting languages such as PERL along with Spring Boot/Liquibase/Gradle/OAuth and BI tools such as Looker
- Ability to maintain focus and priorities in a dynamic setting
- Desire to learn investment performance and attribution
- Desire to learn the end-to-end investment management cycle
- Technical roles with Azure and Snowflake experience required
- Also Jira, Confluence, Github, Java, scripting languages such as PERL, Spring Boot, Liquibase, Gradle, OAuth, BI tools such as Looker preferred
- Practiced in development and DevOps using agile and waterfall methodologies preferred
- Experience working with teams across business services, information systems and enterprise applications preferred
- Familiarity working with investment managers and asset owners globally preferred
